To look forward to the Sting's matchup against the Minnesota Brawlers on Saturday, here are 3 things to watch during the game.
Offense: Capitalize on opportunities; During Saturday's game against the Pioneers, the Sting's defense fought and they ended up forcing a turnover by the Pioneers' offense. Unfortunately, however, the Sting's offense wasn't able to capitalize on the opportunity. In order for us to win on Saturday, the Sting has to start fast on every side of the ball and capitalize on every opportunity that the team has.
Defense: Stop the opposing run game; During Saturday's game against the Pioneers, the Sting's defense allowed a long TD run. In order for us to win, our defense has to be stout all across the unit and they have to understand their individual assignments while attacking the ball to not allow another big play against them by an opposing offense.
Special Teams: Penalties; During Saturday's game against the Pioneers, the Sting would've had a kickoff return for a TD if not for a penalty. In order for us to win on Saturday, we need to eliminate penalties all across the board, not just the special teams unit. The team in any football game, the team that plays sound fundamental football is the team that wins and the Sting needs to be that team in order to win this Saturday against the Brawlers.
